At first you may think that taking an ex-junky into your home is a bad idea, but these women need assistance after they move out to maintain their sobriety. They were drug addicts in the past, but by the time they come to live with you they will be clean, which is why we’re releasing them in the first place. (Not just because the insurance has run out, as commonly believed.)

They need your help because many of them don’t have a place to go when they are released, and more still have a place but it’s not conducive to their sobriety. You find someone special, share a number of carefully supervised emails, and once they’re discharged from the treatment center, she will come live with you in your home.

Help society, earn a second income, and maybe find a new relationship with someone meaningful.

This innovative program is under tentative funding from the State of California, as authorized by a joint house bill passed April 2nd, 2008, but it is administered by outside agencies. Complaints should not be directed to the state itself, but rather the agencies acting all over her behalf.
